    Model data and design database for market reporting applications. Monitor and support the fifty MLCI SQL Servers during the period of transition from EKT ownership. Optimize data access, SQL, for the RAFT credit risk application for performance. Assist troubleshooting the market risk and credit risk applications using MS SQL Trace and DBArtisan. .

  • Senior Database Administrator for Entergy Koch Trading
    Model data and design databases and access plans with ER/Studio and Erwin for trading applications. Create and implement the IT portion of the EKT Business Continuity Plan. Create and execute the plan to upgrade all of the EKT MS SQL Servers from version 6.5 to version 2000 to support the power trading, market risk management, and other applications. Manage the upgrade of in-house software to be compatible with SQL Server 2000. Optimize application SQL statements to match characteristics of the new SQL version by reducing the dependence upon the SQL tempdb database. Identify SQL statements with poor performance using the MS Performance Monitor and SQL Trace tools. Design and implement the SQL log-shipping system for mission-critical warm spare SQL Servers to provide high-availability, and reliable business continuity.
