Perform Active Martin Nest Checks
The most successful martin landlord knows what is going on in his martin colony at all times.
Look daily, or at least twice weekly.
The martins really don't mind you lowering the nests and looking around.
They expect it.
Replace nest materials when necessary, which usually means about twice a season.
Prevent predators and competitors from destroying your martin colony.
